tequila and citrus glazed drumsticks

Yield: About 18 drumsticks

Rating: Super straightforward and easy but you do have to know how to turn your grill on

Ingredients:

About 18 chicken drumsticks

1 ½ teaspoons ground coriander

1 ¾ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon all spice

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes

1/3 cup orange juice (fresh or bottled)

¼ cup tequila (try to use gold or silver)

3 tablespoons honey

Directions:

Whisk together your coriander, salt, all spice, red pepper flakes, orange juice, tequila and honey in a bowl. Spill the marinade over your chicken and set in the fridge for at least 6 hours or up to 12 hours.

When you are ready to cook, preheat your grill to high for about ten minutes.  After it’s hot, clean your grill grates with a metal BBQ brush to ensure the grill is clean.  Put your flames on as low as they go and put your chicken on.  Cook for a total of 30 minutes, rotating every 10 minutes.  You can keep this chicken warming in a 200 degree oven until serving.

Plan Ahead:

You can make your marinade up to 3 days before and pour over your chicken the night before serving.  Grill your chicken the day of serving.
